CBN WHEEL
- Product characteristics : CBN is the same process used to manufacture artificial diamonds; Cubic Boron Nitride, a super abrasive for steel grinding, is produced by recrystallizing boron nitride at high temperature and pressure.
- Advantages
1. Long service life of CBN wheel; production costs similar to generic oil stone.
2. Long service life of CBN wheel reduces time for replacement and dressing of oil stone, directly benefiting productivity increases.
3. CBN wheel has almost no wear compared to normal oil stone, requiring almost no calibration of dimensions in response to oil stone wear; workers are able to manage multiple machines simultaneously. Workers at one piston ring maker are managing up to 3 units each.
4. Compared to normal oil stones, CBN wheels have superior cutting and finishing surfaces, giving reliable products with constant quality and facilitating Cp and Cpk management.
SPECIAL CABLE
- Length and additional refractory work possible according to specifications requested by customer (numerous units supplied to POSCO and Hyundai Steel)
- Product characteristics : Cable used in high-temperature environments that disallow use of normal PVC or PUR materials. Silicon or teflon is used, and other special materials such as mica tape are used in the case of super-high temperatures.
- Fields of application : Iron making and defense-related power generation -> Currently used by POSCO and Hyundai Steel exclusively for R.S.M and O.R.P
